In addition to hands-on experience supporting children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in educational and daily life contexts, Kate draws profound insights from both personal and professional encounters. Her journey includes providing coaching support for diverse family scenarios, ranging from helping neurodivergent children learn how to better study and achieve academically to home-schooling approaches to facilitating the reconnection between parents and children. As a Class Teacher and SEN Support Teacher, she has witnessed the struggles and triumphs inherent in navigating the complexities of autism. Through her own experiences, particularly in supporting her son, she is driven by the belief that understanding and support can significantly impact the journey. Autism, rather than a barrier, is a distinctive facet of neurodiversity, and with the right strategies and mindset, individuals can lead fulfilling and meaningful lives.
Whether parents seek guidance on effective communication strategies, navigating the school system, or fostering a supportive environment at home, Kate’s coaching services are designed to assist in creating positive and lasting changes. Through collaborative sessions, she works with families to uncover practical solutions, celebrate their strengths, and build a roadmap for success.
Utilizing evidence-based coaching models, along with a foundation in Applied Behaviour Analysis and Wellbeing Coaching approaches, Kate is dedicated to providing clear, practical, and effective coaching. Her goal is to empower families to embrace the strengths within each member and cultivate a thriving family dynamic. At One Life Coaching, the commitment is to support families in navigating the unique journey of raising a child with autism. By tapping into their inner resources and building on their strengths, she helps create a fulfilling and joyful life for both parents and children.
Kate looks forward to the opportunity to support families on this transformative journey.
