Monica Beck

MSc in Psychology, Wellness Coach, Executive Function Coach

As one of Dubai’s leading Wellness and Executive Function Coaches, Monica Beck is dedicated to helping individuals – both neurodiverse and neurotypical – enhance their executive function skills to perform at their best, whether in school, in the workplace, or in daily life.

Dealing with multiple projects, ever-changing deadlines, and either teachers or managers with different priorities can be a real challenge if our Executive Function skills are not optimized. Add to this the fact that problems with Executive Function skills can make it harder to see a task through or on time and you have a recipe for what appears on the outside like lack of motivation, laziness or low performance and on the inside can lead to a deep feeling of failure that can further lead to anxiety or depression.

Through a combination of coaching models, cognitive-behavioral techniques (CBT, DBT), and positive psychology, Monica’s mission is to empower individuals to overcome their invisible barriers, building the skills, strategies and confidence needed to thrive in life.

Executive function refers to a set of cognitive skills, including working memory, flexible thinking, and self-control, which are essential for navigating everyday tasks. Difficulties in these areas can make life challenging – affecting our productivity, time management, and emotional well-being. Struggles with executive function are often misunderstood, leading to misconceptions about motivation or ability, when in reality, they stem from cognitive processes that can be strengthened with the right strategies.

No one is born with Executive Function skills. We develop them over time, generally from the pre-school years to our mid-20’s. However, many people who struggle with the development of these skills don’t notice their struggles well into their 20s or even later. This is particularly true for individuals in high-pressure environments like corporate settings or academia. The reason we don’t notice the lack of these skills is due to the late development of the prefrontal cortex, which controls executive function.

Recognizing these struggles firsthand – both in the workplace and within her own family – Monica transitioned from a 20-year career as a successful Corporate Lawyer to focus on coaching and psychology. Her MSc in Psychology, with a specialization in executive function, neurodiversity (ASD, ADD/ADHD, giftedness), and high performance, equips her with the expertise to guide clients toward lasting success.

Monica works with pre-teens, teenagers, and adults, offering one-on-one coaching, school-based programs, and corporate workshops.

At One Life Coaching, Monica fosters a supportive and collaborative environment where clients’ unique strengths are recognized and celebrated. Whether addressing academic challenges, workplace demands, or personal growth, she provides clear, practical, and tailored solutions to enhance executive function and overall well-being.

Her mission is simple: to help individuals find their voice, unlock their potential, and create a fulfilling and successful life. Monica looks forward to the opportunity to support you on this transformative journey.
